Although the Campaign Finale dinner has passed, the campaign is not over. Only about 65% of the United Way's goal has been raised and a lot of major donors still need to finalize their donations. Co-chair Paul Page hopes the goal of $541,000 can still be reached. He says that this year has been unusual and we still need to hold out hope. Co-chair Joann Page says the Finale event should have been called an Intermission because there is still so much work to be done. Donations this year are down about $378,000 from this time last year but the United Way is still remaining hopeful. Paul Page also adds that "the many organizations who depend on the United Way funds are counting on our efforts, so we can't let them down." Fourteen member agencies receive funds from the United Way and continually need support.
